Why we like Meris
Meris pedals take the sort of sounds you associate with high-end studio racks and put them at your feet in compact enclosures. The designs are unapologetically digital, but in the best way: huge stereo images, deep modulation options and extensive MIDI or expression control that make each pedal feel like an instrument in its own right. At Guitar FX Direct we like Meris because their range works just as well on guitar as it does on synths, drum machines and other line-level sources, opening up a lot of creative territory from a small number of boxes.
Enzo – multi-voice synthesizer in a pedal
The Meris Enzo Multivoiced Synthesizer Pedal turns your guitar or other instruments into a flexible synth engine without any special pickups. It can handle tight mono leads, arpeggiated patterns and rich chordal textures, with multiple filter modes, onboard compression, dual delay lines and extensive modulation. Enzo is ideal if you want one pedal that can dramatically change your sound and cover everything from subtle textures to full-on electronic soundscapes.
Polymoon – supermodulated digital delay
The Meris Polymoon Supermodulated Digital Delay Pedal is inspired by complex cascaded rack setups, offering up to 1200 ms of delay with six multi-tap lines, pitch-shifting, flanger doubling and phaser-style modulation. It can do straightforward digital echoes, but really shines for wide, evolving delay pads, rhythmic textures and ambient washes that sit beautifully in stereo rigs. If you are looking for a delay that encourages experimentation rather than just repeating what your amp already does, Polymoon is a strong choice.
Mercury 7 – cinematic ambient reverb
The Meris Mercury 7 Digital Reverb – Dual Algorithms is built for players who want spacious, film-score style ambience as well as more traditional plate tones. With Ultraplate and Cathedral algorithms, modulation, pitch-shift, swell and sustain options, Mercury 7 can move from subtle room enhancement to huge, hovering reverb tails. It works brilliantly at the end of a stereo board and pairs nicely with Polymoon for immersive ambient rigs.
Hedra – three-voice rhythmic pitch shifter
The Meris Hedra – 3 Voice Rhythmic Pitch Shifter & Delay adds three harmony voices to your signal, each with its own rhythmic delay options. With pitch glide, micro-tuning, multiple delay configurations and deep MIDI control, Hedra can create tight harmonies, shimmering detune, choir-like clusters and intricate rhythmic patterns. It is ideal for players who want pitch effects that go far beyond simple octave up and down sounds.
Ottobit Jr – bitcrusher, sequencer and stutter box
The Meris Ottobit Jr Bitcrusher is a creative multi-effect that combines bitcrushing, sample-rate reduction, triggered stutter, a built-in sequencer and a powerful low-pass filter. It can add subtle digital grit, arcade-style bleeps or full-on glitchy destruction to guitars, synths and drum machines. If you enjoy experimental, electronic-leaning textures or want a single pedal that can take you from lo-fi crunch to chopped-up rhythmic madness, Ottobit Jr is well worth exploring.
If you are not sure which Meris pedal will best suit your guitar, synth or studio setup, please contact us. We are happy to talk through your rig, suggest combinations like Enzo with Polymoon or Mercury 7, and help you put together a Meris-based setup that earns its space on your pedalboard.
