The Death By Audio Interstellar Overdriver is an analogue overdrive designed around the behaviour of vintage tube amplifiers and this delivers increasingly rich harmonic content as you push the volume.
At lower settings it’s a transparent, dynamic drive that preserves your guitar’s natural character. However, push it further and the harmonic richness increases in a way that’s more musical than a conventional clipping overdrive.
It has a big brother in the Interstellar Overdriver Deluxe, which adds a second drive circuit with five interaction modes. The standard Interstellar Overdriver is a single-circuit version of that same fundamental drive character.
Controls:
- Overdriver: Sets the input gain from clean boost to overdriver destruction.
- Master: Controls the output volume of the effect. This is kept separate, so you can keep the gain high for the value like character and bring the overall volume down
