The EarthQuaker Park Fuzz is in direct partnership with Park Amplifiers to bring the original Park Fuzz Sound circuit back into production.

Stop Press: The Park Fuzz is out of prodcution. This is the last new one left!

Park was a sister company to Marshall. The original Park Fuzz was really just a rebrand of the Tone Bender Mk3 circuit.

It has a very traditional sound, typical of germanium transistors, that sits between a Fuzz Face and Big Muff.

So, whats so good about it …

Vintage Tone, Without the Usual Germanium Headaches

Germanium fuzz circuits are known for their warm, vintage character, but also for being a bit flakey.

They are sensitive to temperature and power quality, which is why many vintage style germanium fuzzes are picky about daisy chained power.

EarthQuaker sorted this out directly on the Park Fuzz Sound with internal voltage regulation, so it holds up fine on a shared supply.

NOS matched germanium transistors keep the tone consistent. Quality metal film resistors and capacitors keep things quiet without changing the character that made the original Park Fuzz Sound worth recreating in the first place.

Key Features

  • Faithful recreation of the original Park Fuzz Sound circuit, made in collaboration with Park Amplifiers
  • NOS matched germanium transistors for consistent, reliable vintage tone
  • Metal film resistors and capacitors for quieter background performance
  • Internal voltage regulation — unusually for a germanium fuzz, plays nicely on a daisy chained supply
  • True bypass via relay-based electronic switching

Power

Runs on a standard 9V DC centre-negative supply and draws 3mA. Internal voltage regulation means it can share a daisy chain without the usual germanium fuzz noise issues.

Who Is This For

Worth a look if you want genuine vintage germanium fuzz tone without the usual power supply fussiness — a straightforward, characterful fuzz built to a real historical circuit rather than a generic modern voicing.

FAQs

What is the EarthQuaker Devices Park Fuzz Sound?

A faithful recreation of the original Park Fuzz Sound. It is built in collaboration with Park Amplifiers, using NOS matched germanium transistors.

What power supply does the Park Fuzz Sound need?

A standard 9V DC centre-negative supply, drawing 3mA. Despite being a germanium fuzz, internal voltage regulation means it plays nicely on a daisy chain, unlike many vintage-style germanium circuits.

Is the Park Fuzz Sound true bypass or buffered?

True bypass, using electronic relay-based switching. Audio will not pass through the pedal without power connected.

What’s different about this version compared to the original?

EarthQuaker added metal film resistors and capacitors for quieter performance, and NOS matched germanium transistors for more consistent, reliable tone than typical vintage units, while keeping the original circuit’s sound intact.

Can I run this on a shared power supply with other pedals?

Yes. The internal voltage regulation means, unusually for a germanium fuzz, it won’t be thrown off by a daisy chain the way many vintage-style germanium circuits can be.
