The Loomer combines a wall-of-fuzz circuit with an unusual set of reverb voicings. Built for shoegaze, it’s really two pedals sharing an enclosure. There’s a Muff-style fuzz on one side and three distinctive reverbs on the other. Their order in the signal chain can be changes with a switch.
Key Features
- Muff-style fuzz circuit with Flat, Full, and Scooped EQ voicings
- Three distinct reverb modes: Focus, Reverse, and Hall
- Reverse mode is inspired by the Yamaha SPX90 and Alesis Midiverb II.
- Eight fixed decay-time settings and envelope-controlled vibrato
- Hall mode adds octave regeneration into the feedback loop
- Focus mode approximates a classic Yamaha FX500 patch for dual-delay reverb
- Rear panel order switch swaps fuzz and reverb in the signal chain
- Expression pedal input, controlling the reverb’s Depth parameter
- 100% analogue dry signal path
- 9V DC centre negative, 75mA current draw
Two Pedals, One Enclosure
The fuzz side is straightforward. It’s a Muff-Pi-inspired circuit that gives gritty crunch to full-on wall-of-fuzz. A three way EQ toggle switches between a flat, darker full-mid voicing and classic scooped rock voicings.
The reverb side is where this pedal gets genuinely unusual.
- Focus mode is a dense, modulated reverb built from two parallel delay lines.
- Hall mode has the option to feed an octave up into the regeneration loop
- Reverse mode is the strangest of the three because it reads back through a delay line at shifting points while increasing in volume. The effect is a rhythmic, pitch-bending like a trem bar dive on a Jazzmaster.
Because every reverb mode can be dialled fully wet (via the Blend control), and the fuzz and reverb sides can be reordered, the Loomer covers a genuinely wide range.
Controls
Reverb
- Blend: Mixes wet and dry signal
- Decay: In most modes, sets reverb decay length. In Reverse mode, steps through eight fixed decay times, that is 150ms to 500ms, in 50ms increments
- Warmth: Shapes the reverb tone from brighter to darker
- Depth: Controls modulation depth within the reverb and is assignable to an expression pedal
- Mode toggle: Switches between Focus, Reverse, and Hall
Fuzz
- Filter: Shapes the tone, adding bass or treble depending on direction
- Fuzz: Sets the amount of fuzz
- Level: Sets the output volume of the fuzz
- EQ toggle: switches between Flat, Full, and Scooped voicings
Order switch (rear panel): swaps whether the Fuzz or Reverb section comes first in the signal chain
Power
Runs on a standard 9V DC centre-negative supply and draws 75mA.
Who Is This For
Built specifically for shoegaze, dream pop, and ambient players who want fuzz and reverb that work together as one instrument rather than two separate effects bolted side by side.
If you’re after a conventional drive-into-reverb setup, there are simpler options. This one rewards players who want to dig into the Reverse mode’s odd, pitch-bending textures and the ability to reorder the whole signal chain.

FAQs
It combines a Muff-style fuzz circuit with three distinct reverbs – Focus, Reverse, and Hall to give instant shoegaze and ambient textures.
A standard 9V DC centre-negative supply at 75mA.
True bypass.
It’ not actually a true reversed reverb in the purest sense. It looks back through a delay line at shifting points while increasing in volume. This creates rhythmic, pitch-bending like a tremolo-bar dive.
Yes, there is a switch on the rear panel,
