Mantic Effects Vitriol Distortion
The much awaited Mantic Effects Vitriol distortion. Variable high-gain distortion with low and high pass filters capable of gyrator-based frequency boost.
Suitable for guitar or bass, the low and high pass filtered gives the Vitriol flexibility
Gyrators, or simulated inductors, are part of the “secret sauce” for the Vitriol. They are an active impedance converter, enabling frequencies to be filitered akin to an LC circuit. Some say that the phrase “simulated” is a bit unfair, as the gyrator circuit can work better than a wound inductor.
Controls
The controls are very simple, the main ones – the large knobs – being just level and distortion
Then there are the filter controls – low and high pass. These are really critical to the Vitriol and they give real flexibility to this heavy distortion pedal
