Mojo Hand FX Dewdrop
The Mojo Hand FX Dewdrop excels in both versatility and useability because it offers a simple, intuitive layout.
The sound, we think, gives more than a passing nod to Fender’s spring reverbs. However, it also does have a slight chorus-like flavour to the reverb, making it an interesting take on a classic sound.
It’s carefully voiced to give you 100% useable spring reverb tones ranging from subtle and damp to full-on ambient wetness.
It’s designed to give your tone a splash of color, which it does really well for a simple, three knob pedal.
Inside the Dewdrop, the circuit is based on the BTDR-2H Belton / Accutronics Digi-Log Reverb.
It is a simple, no-nonsense reverb!
You can see Jack Fossett giving the Dewdrop a good workout here.
Controls
The controls are pretty standard and nice and simple
- MIX: Set low to stay shallow, crank for a full soak. Essentially this mixes your wet and dry signals.
- DWELL: Add in your desired level of ‘atmosphere’. This changes the delay of the reverb, so in effect is changing the room size
- TONE: Cut back for warmth, up for sparkle
Power: Requires 9V DC centre negative supply, delivering ~68mA
