Old Blood Noise Endeavors Reflector V3
The Old Blood Noise Endeavors Reflector V3 is an update on the popular modulation noisemaker pedal. It produces a densely lush chorus coupled with three modes of modulation.
This is a chorus with a bent, an ephemeral voice floating between aural dimensions.
The Controls consist of Rate and Depth to manipulate the speed and intensity of the Chorus/Vibrato. Mix for a balance between unaffected and affected signal, and modulate to either shift pitch, blend in reverb, or extend filter range.
Controls the speed of the effect, stationary all of the way to the left, and increasing as the knob is turned to the right.
Controls the depth of the chorus.
Controls the blend of the dry signal and the affected signal. Turn the knob all of the way to the left for bypass
signal only. All the way to the right for effected signal only (true pitch vibrato). Set the knob to noon and there will be a congruent mix (50/50) of both unaffected and affected signal.
Controls the little something extra in each mode: pitch shift in Wrinkle, reverb mix in Wash, and filter range in Mirrors.
A three-way toggle switch allows the player to choose between:
- Wrinkle Mode (A Vibrato-esque warble chorus with the added option of pitch selection, meaning the Modulate knob goes from one octave down to one octave up, with noon being close to pitch unity),
- Washed Mode (a simple lush chorus, Modulate control adds in a wash of Reverb pre Chorus effect) or
- Mirrors Mode (Detuned Chorus meets Flanger in which the Modulate knob controls the depth of the Flanger, while Rate corresponds to both the Flanger speed and the detuned Chorus speed).
The Reflector V3 features an expression out jack and clickless switching. Tweak the output level via an internal trimpot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain.
Wrinkle Mode: A deep chorus with a pitch-shifted center voice. The Modulate knob moves the center of the chorus from an octave down to an octave up, with doubling unity sounds in the middle.
Washed Mode: A classic chorus sound with a blendable reverb. Turn the Modulate knob all the way down for classic chorus, or turn it up to blend in a pre-chorus reverb signal.
Mirrors Mode: Heavy chorus meets a sweeping resonant filter. Rate controls the rate of both the chorus and filter (the filter moves at % the speed of the chorus). Depth controls the depth of the chorus. Modulate controls the range of the filter. With the rate at zero,Modulate becomes a manual notch filter.
