Tech 21 NYC YYZ – Geddy Lee Signature Bass Preamp
Wanting to streamline and simplify his gear for new projects, Geddy Lee partnered with Tech 21 to design a signature rackmount SansAmp, the GED-2112. This challenging collaboration involved distilling a boatload of equipment into a single rackspace. Challenging ourselves, to bring a super-compact, portable alternative, we further distilled the rackmount into a pedal format.
After deciding to stop touring with the traditional back Geddy partnered with Sansamp to create the GED-2112. The same technology has now been put into a standard-sized, all-analogue pedal, and of course named after the amazing track YYZ on the Moving Pictures album.
The SansAmp YYZ offers Geddy’s core sound and the versatility for many different styles. Along the way As well as the easily recognisable signature overdriven tone, there is great flexibility in this pedal and , of course the added simplicity of being able to go straight to the PA when gigging.
