The ThorpyFX Deep Oggin – designed from the ground up for analogue chorus pedal aficionados!

This is a collabouration between Dan Coggins(Former Lovetone Pedal designer). This is his first modulation pedal design since his Lovetone pedal days,  a.nd ThorpyFX

This fully analogue chorus and vibrato provides the most incredible 3-dimensional sounds. It has a level of versatility to meet the needs of all guitarists.

Faced with hundreds of digital choruses on the market, Thorpy and Dan decided to go fully analogue. The Deep Oggin delivers that vintage chorus that can only come from an analogue circuit.

The pedal finished up being the most versatile chorus pedal available on the market for such a clean design. The Deep Oggin has the ability to deliver everything from classic, vintage CE1 style tones through vintage Leslie tones and onto modern crisp and clear chorus….. and if you want to go crazy it can make raygun noises too.

The Deep Oggin voices provide a variety of chorus styles from deep and wet through to more subtle and shimmery sounds.

With controls for Depth, Rate, Blend, Volume and Treble this analog pedal keeps it functionally simple but with a deceptively feature packed.

This pedal allows you to deliver an almost unlimited tonal pallet no matter what your mood/style or guitar and amp setup.  Using premium enhances the sound.

Controls

VOLUME: Unity is marginally past full CCW. Anything above that is volume boost. Be aware at high values, boosting the noise floor of the chorus is more noticeable.

TREBLE: This control is used to change the character of the chorus from dark to bright and crisp. Be aware at high values of treble the noise floor of the chorus is more noticeable.

BLEND: This control allows you massive scope to blend the wet and the dry signal. Full CCW is 100% dry, the middle position is 50/50 Wet/Dry and Full CCW is 100% Wet and puts the DEEP OGGIN in Vibrato mode.

DEPTH: This control gives allows you control over the depth of the chorus effect. From subtle shimmer to extreme detuning chorus effect.

RATE: This control adjusts the speed of the chorus effect from slow and steady to manic and crazy.

FOOTSWITCH: This turns the Chorus on/off.

POWER: THE DEEP OGGIN is designed to work at voltages of 9V DC. This should be from a quality centre negative power supply such as the Gigrig Generator or Voodoo Lab Pedalpower Plus 2. Do not attempt to use this pedal with other voltages or polarities.

COMPONENTS: To ensure consistency, reliability, low noise and tonal supremacy The Deep Oggin is made with extremely high-quality components. 1% metal-film resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors where possible, A Burr-Brown Op-amp and robust through-hole plated PCB’S.

In short, all of this means you won’t have to worry about your pedal and it should give you many years of inspiring tonal bliss.
